Notes (2)

  1. 1The headword, extracted from the quotation, is second person singular, aorist middle, of prosa/gw (cf. pi 2584, pi 2585). ↩
  2. 2Aristophanes, Birds 141 (web address 1), with scholion. Dunbar comments: "Eu[elpides]'s ideal city is one in which a man, meeting a boy in the street whose father he knew, would be positively expected to make a sexual approach to the lad, and would find the father angry if he did not". ↩
