Notes
- Same entry in other lexica. The headword adjective is here in the masculine/feminine accusative singular or nominative/accusative neuter plural, in epic/Ionic dialect. The latter possibility occurs in Herodotus 1.129.1 (of words: web address 1), which [WH] might well be the ultimate source of the word here since the gloss could only be neuter plural or feminine nominative singular. In Homer (more usually regarded as the source of the entry: see Latte on Hesychius theta860 and Theodoridis on Photius theta255) the form only occurs as an accusative singular, masculine or feminine; see for instance Iliad 4.513 (web address 2) or Iliad 9.387 (web address 3).
cf. under epsilon 1990.
