Notes
- = Hesychius pi973, Synagoge, Photius pi427 Theodoridis.
The headword is an aorist passive participle, masculine or neuter dative singular, from the suppletive family of the verbparafe/rw (and is glossed here with the corresponding form of a more canonical member of the same family). This form is independently attested only in Cyril of Alexandria, who has four instances of it (e.g. Commentary on the Gospel of John 1.221), all used to describe a locution (lo/gos orr(hto/n ) previously adduced or cited.
